Silly Horse

Now that it rained, We have all this nice green grassy stuff. It's probably some sort of weed, but it seems to me that the horse would want to eat it anyway. He doesn't. He won't even walk through that part of his corral unless he runs over there to get away from something in the other part of the corral.

Apparently, he'd rather spend all of his time in this part of his corral where he can stand and roll in the dirt.

"If I may, you two make an adorable couple."

"Oh, we're not a... I mean, we're not..."
" 'We're not a... I mean we're not a... ' blah, blah, blah, I never lie!"

We are official!  Our paperwork was signed off by the judge so we now have our profile on itsaboutlove.org.  Please share this LINK with people to help us adopt.  We are also working on getting a profile up on another website.  Thanks for all the thoughts, prayers, etc. on our behalf!

And I want to know if anyone can name the movies that all my recent post's titles have come from!  Some are easy, but there are a few that I think are tricky.

"I could like, have this baby and give it to someone who like totally needs it."

"You should look in the PennySaver."
"They have ads for parents?"
"Yeah!"
As most of you already know, Josh and I have filled out the paperwork and taken the necessary steps to get approved for adoption.  So far, things have gone really smoothly, and we really like our caseworker, Hannah.  She puts so much of her time and energy into adoption, and it's great to work with someone who cares about this process as much as we do.  We are both really excited to adopt and know that this is what we are supposed to do for our family.  Part of the paperwork is compiling photos of us.  We decided to have Josh's cousin, Sarah, take our pictures while we were in Utah this July so we have some more current ones.  She did a great job again!  Here are a few of my favorites:

Thanks Sarah!  We love the new pics!

Mawage. Mawage is wot bwings us togeder tooday.

And wuv, tru wuv, will fowow you foweva..

Josh's younger brother, Mark got married last weekend in Vegas.  It was really fun, and not as hot as I was expecting.  We really like Hayley-she's a keeper.  Congrats guys!  It was a great excuse to see a lot of family!
This was at the reception.  It was very pretty.
And then, Josh's parents and youngest brother Spencer came down to visit us.  Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of  them.  We had a great time though, and we spent some quality time with these girls.
Oh, I just realized Klaire is missing from this picture...sad.  Josh loves the Bryce girls.  I think he secretly wishes he had more sisters, but only if they were like the Bryce's.  We made pizza in their mud oven.  It seriously cooks in like 5 minutes and it is delicious!

Josh was not thrilled about this picture, but the pizza looked so good and I wanted to show you all what it looked like.  YUM!

There is no charge for awesomeness... or attractiveness.

SISTER PARTY 2010!!!!!
We went to Denver to see Augie and where she lives.  We ate a lot of good food, sang songs on the lake, played dress up in Audra's clothes, and laughed our heads off.  It really doesn't matter what we do together, it is fun just hanging out with these girls.  I miss them and I want them to all live on my street someday.  But I know that is never going to happen because Audra would melt in Arizona and Adrianna can't make the car trip.  It's just too far.  Sisters, I love your guts....but seriously.  Call me in FIVE minutes!

The Paddle Boat Ride=Awesome
(This may or may not have been the location of the singing on the lake that I mentioned earlier)
All squished on the futon; Audra and I have huge legs.
Augie
Char
Susan (with attitude)
I am almost positive that Tara was mocking either Audra or Charlotte but I was the only one who heard her.  She is a funny girl.
Pretty sure Tara is single-handedly holding me up in this picture.  This whole thing was pretty funny.

Honey? What? Where's my super suit?

What?
Where - is - my - super - suit?
I, uh, put it away.
*Where*?
*Why* do you *need* to know?
I need it!
Okay, I am a big blogging slacker, I know.  So, we are going to do a lot of updates!  First, I have to show off my cute nieces and nephews and their awesome trampoline tricks that I was able to take with my sweet camera.

This is little Katrina.  She doesn't do any tricks, unless you count almost running off the side during "Duck Duck Goose".  Scary.
Haylee-she is probably going to be a cheerleader someday.
Gaven-he has some pretty hilarious tricks.
Here's Gaven doing a flip while holding a basketball.
Jack doing his "twisty" move.  He never lands this one the same.
I thought this photo turned out so cool.  Jack is floating...but I'm thinking the landing wasn't pretty.
Here's Katrina again.  We had a good time together.
Adrianna bouncing Haylee as high as she could.  She was way better at this than I was.  And it looks like Jack got a little ride out of it too.  Good times!  It was so fun to visit with Mike and Jen, their kids and of course, my sisters.  And that leads me to my next post:  The 2nd Annual Sister Party.

Saw the whole thing, dude. First you were all like "whoa", and we were like "whoa", and you were like "whoa..."

I decided at the end of last year that I am going to become a runner.  I decided this for a couple of reasons: here they are.
1. It's good for your whole body.
2. It's free-no gym membership, no DVDs (or the annoyingly perky women on them), and no equipment necessary (except good shoes).
3. I want to lose some weight and tone my muscles.
So, I started running with my dogs in Ajo.  We did a nice little loop that was about 2 miles, but I walked the first part of it so the dogs would get tired and behave for the rest of the run.  And, while I was not fast AT ALL, I really started to enjoy it.  But then it got hot and I moved and we went on vacation after vacation, and I didn't run for about 6 weeks.  And then, on July 5th, I decided I would run a 5K with my sisters and brother in law.  Whoa.  Kind of a bad idea.  Not only had I never run that far; but I was used to running at a much lower altitude than Northern Utah.  But, I finished, and I plan to do another one this Fall when it's cooler weather.  My sisters did awesome, by the way, and so did Nate.  Pics to prove:

Look how cheerful I was!  I did not look like that at the end.  I looked like I was going to puke.

Waiting for the race to start.

The start.

Char-finishing FIRST in her age group and THIRD overall for the women.  She is a little speedy Gonzales.  If only she had realized this talent in high school.  She always wanted to do some sort of sport.  The cross country and track teams would have loved her.

Adrianna got FOURTH in her age group.  This was also her first 5K I believe.
Here's me finishing.  I don't want to talk about what place I took.  I was just glad I finished.

Nate took third in his age group.  Char and Susan are making the excited faces that the little kids were making when they got their ribbons.
Here's a little better picture.  I don't think I will be winning any ribbons ever, but it was fun.
