NOT Stuck in Ajo

I guess we're going to have to get another blog. We're not actually stuck in Ajo. We won't have to spend the winter here with summer (remember Ajo is where summer spends winter.)

I got a call last Friday, and then an email containing a job offer yesterday. I'm going to be transferring to the station in Willcox, AZ sometime in the next one to three months. I still need to get all the details hammered out. The phone call was very unexpected as I had applied for this transfer over a year ago. Apparently the union was upset that there were very few transfers within Tucson sector last year (most of the transfers were up to the northern border.) So the union threw a fit, and now all the stations are picking a few people from the old lists to transfer. I got picked because I'm certified on the horses, and they need riders, so I will even get to stay on the horse patrol unit.

I'll get a lot less dope (approx. 300 lbs. marijuana pictured above) and I will work in the day rather than at night, but it will still be fun.

First Annual Sister Party

Well, what can I say? It was a HUGE success. Of course, I don't really think you can go wrong when you get us all together-we are kind of a big deal, you know. We did the following: went to Bear Lake for the afternoon, saw "Annie Get Your Gun" at the Pickleville Playhouse (Fabulous!), watched some grass volleyball games (Audra was playing), rented a four person bicycle, did at-home pedicures, saw "UP!" (very cute and kind of a tear jerker), and ate lots of good food. I think this will be a very good tradition. Oh, and our CD mix was AWESOME! Best playlist ever! And did I mention the matching t-shirts?
Tara, Adrianna, and Charlotte showing off their pedicures. Audra was feeling left out of the picture. She didn't get her pedicure until later.
Here we are at the playhouse, waiting for the show to start.
The poster from the play. I highly recommend this playhouse. It's small, so there are no bad seats, the actors are good, the music was fun. You get the idea.
Audra playing volleyball

Some people play "air guitar", some play "air drums". But Tara is the only person I know who plays "air piano".
A bicycle built for "four" (or five if you shove a freeloader in the back). Here is the back seat slackers. Audra was doing pretty much all the work, but I helped a little.

Charlotte wanted to ride in the basket seat in the front that is built for smallish children. She got stuck.
At Bear Lake. My, aren't they attractive?

The aforementioned matching shirts.
SUCH A GOOD TIME! I MISS THEM ALREADY!

Summer Fun with the Jensen Fam

Here are the pictures from our vacation with the Jensen family to Bear Lake.
We needed to kill some time on the last day so we rented this 6 man bike. It was more difficult to pedal than you would imagine, but we needed the exercise.

It's kind of blurry, but Mark did get some air on the tube.

I don't know what this face is all about.

I think my dad had a pretty good time just driving the boat around the lake.

This is Nicola hanging on as best she can.
Everyone was making faces I guess.
This is probably right before she fell off.

We did let Lisa and Spencer ride with us sometimes.

Alexa did NOT enjoy this. She started crying after about 30 seconds.

Brady did enjoy the tube though.

Don't worry, Alexa stayed safe from the sun.

This is Mark's attempt at wakeboarding.

And Lisa's attempt at wakeboarding.

And my attempt at wakeboarding.

Finally, someone who can do it.

It wasn't really fair, because Spencer did just get back from a week on Lake Powell.

Summer Fun with the Robison Fam

I have been kind of blogging slacker lately, hence these pictures from June at my family's reunion. It was lots of fun, and I really enjoyed Bryce Canyon. Sorry to bore you with tons of pictures, but you can just scroll through.
Here's Josh at the top of the trailhead we took at Bryce. He really did have a good time, I promise.

I love this little girl-my niece, Katrina
Little Brother Jess-yes, he is too cool for school.
We're off to see the Wizard...I am Dorothy, Audra is the Lion, and Tara is Toto.
